There is nothing like this city in October.
Marathon Registration is open.
Come run Chicago.
This is a City to see, the way you only can on foot, running, down the street with 45,000 other people.  This is a city that looks like no other, and is relatively flat, except that first part, and that other part between Pilsen and Chinatown, and that part at the end on Roosevelt that really isn’t that bad because MOTHERFUCK DOES THAT MILE MARKER SAY 26?
I dare say, no city comes out to see the run like Chicago, cheerleaders in the canyon lands of our skyscrapers,  GaGas and synchronized cowboys dancing in Boystown, Mile Elvis, and families in lawn chairs outside their three flats with hoses ready to spray water on runners to cool them down, we have lemonade stands, and Pilsen, where giant two story paper mache figures dance around the edge of the race, and bands play you through color - pink - red- yellow - blue.  Where else do you run through Chinatown gates to the sound of drums and see Dragons dance around you, passing then under freeways down to Bridgeport, where at the edge of Sox Park, you turn East and finally North once more up Michigan Avenue to Roosevelt, and the red, the red comes up on either side of you and the stands are full of people waiting for people they love and your family is there with the signs they made for you ringing bells for you and you see the word: Finish.
And then you do.
