Vertigo Runner Girl

January 6, 2010 my life changed. I was at my desk, sitting on an inane conference call. I felt light headed. I thought I needed lunch. I got up and could not walk straight. When lunch didn’t help, and made me sick to my stomach, I called my husband to come get me and take me home. The room spinned. It was like being drunk. It would not go away. So the next morning I went to the ER in the middle of a blizzard and got hooked up to that bag. I could not imagine level. And it lasted most of January and February. Better but not gone. Level, balance escaped me. It still does. But in late January, I started running again. I had worked my way up to 11 miles on the last day of 2009. I wanted to run a marathon, and I will. 10/10/10 I will run a marathon.

Correction: I did.
